New Yorker David Van Biema will publish Speaking to God: A History and Cultural Interpretation of the Psalms with Simon & Schuster. He was chief religion writer for TIME Magazine until he left for a book writing career. He is author of Mother Teresa: the Life and Works of a Modern Saint (Time Books).
