We are celebrating our 16th anniversary! Free books, advance discounts.
To celebrate and to enter into our future, we are making available for free two books of our publisher and editor Tony Carnes:
Ahead of the February 4, 2027 release of his upcoming book with Bloomsbury Academic, Christians in the City of New York. The Rise of the Postsecular City, two of his foundational backlist volumes are now released entirely free on Kindle.
Both New York Glory: Religions in the City (with Anna Karpathakis in 2001) and Asian American Religions (with Fenggang Yang in 2004) are now open-access resources for researchers and students. Together, they establish the historical baseline for how immigration and urban spaces shape contemporary faith ecosystems.
Carnes’ forthcoming volume picks up where this longitudinal research leaves off, exploring the postsecular realities of 21st-century New York. You can download the groundwork for free today and secure your pre-order of the new volume on the Bloomsbury Website.
