We remember our hurting fellow New Yorkers with an original illustration from the November 1896 Christian Herald, a publication associated with The Bowery Mission. Some needs haven’t changed. This Thanksgiving is a sober time for too many people who need for prayer and care.

We can also appreciate even more than usual the love of families, friends, and neighbors.
