Interesting, I once had to do a research paper and went to the Haitian Consulate to get figures. They estimated the population to be close to 400,000; and about 600,000 in the Metro area. They said NYC had the largest population of Haitians but because NYC is so big with 8 million people its a drop in the bucket. So Miami always gets credit as the center for the Haitian community in the U.S. Mind you Flatbush is 3 times larger in size and population than Little Haiti.
