Is New York City using up its second chances?

I lived in West Harlem in the bad old days when each street had its gang and deaths. NYC almost collapsed.

There are signs that we are slipping backward.

Pieces of a subway station in Queens fell on two cars. When I walk along the overhead line in Jackson Heights, you can see the severe corrosion. Thick pieces of the iron works are flaking off.

The subway system seems in an uproar.

The Housing projects are run down and management has been taken over by the Federal govt.

Crime in the schools is skyrocketing at alarming rates.

Hate crimes don’t seem to cease.

Politics seems to create hate, not love.

Have we given up on our future?

Reverend Hector Vega says, God still gives 2nd chances in New York City. In fact, Vega says God stuck with him through many failures. Today, Reverend Vega is pastor of a growing church in East Harlem.

Watch Reverend Vega talk about second chances on Journey TV, Sunday, September 8th, 7:30 – 8:00 pm!
