St. Patrick's Cathedral

St. Patrick’s Cathedral stands as a beacon of Gothic Revival architecture and a symbol of Catholic faith in the heart of Manhattan. Its stunning spires and intricate stained glass windows draw visitors from around the world. Recently, it added a giant mural dedicated to immigrants. 5th Avenue between 50th & 51st Streets, 6:45 AM – 8:45 PM.

Christian Cultural Center

The largest congregation (33,000) in New York City. Located in East New York, it is a long trip from Manhattan and is often packed. Arrive early before Sun 10:00 AM. Rev A.R. Bernard is also co-director of chaplains for the NY Police Department.

Congregation Shearith Israel

Established in 1654 in New Amsterdam by Jews who arrived from Dutch Brazil, it is the oldest Jewish congregation in the United States. Rabbi Meir Soloveichek’s sermons are extraordinary.  Services: 7pm Friday. Monthly synagogue tour August 12
