A Journey through NYC religions TV. Brian Finnerty, producer.

Around the city and across the nation, we have noticed that there are arising New Wave Asian Americans. They include disillusioned progressives, moderate Democrats, and conservatives who are tired of the divide-and-conquer tactics of illiberal activists on both extremes of the political spectrum.

The New Wave Asian Americans threw out the District Attorney and school board in San Francisco and in New York City, and they have forced the city government to keep standards high at selective schools and racial standards out. On both coasts, the New Wave Asian Americans claim that the progressives’ Critical Race Theory is causing as many hate crimes against Asian Americans as the ill-tempered remarks of our former president. Proportionately more hate crimes take place against Asian Americans in “blue” cities than in “red” cities.

We decided that we needed to interview some of these “New Wave Asian Americans” to understand them more. So, we started looking for the “faith-based” New Wave Asian Americans in New York City. One person that we ran across is Helen Qiu (she prefers the pronunciation “Que”. She is our first Journey TV show on this new phenomenon. Hope you enjoy it on Sunday night at 7:30 pm. She is running for State Assembly member for District 65 which encompasses Chinatown and the Lower East Side. Her opponent is an extremely progressive Asian American.
