Opus Dei seeks to reinvigorate the Catholic church through a universal call to holiness. Historian and legal scholar John Coverdale worked with the founder of Opus Dei, Josemaria Escriva, for seven years and is a historian of the movement. Coverdale clerked for Antonin Scalia, the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice and served as a law professor.

In New York City, Opus Dei is responsible for St. Agnes Church, which is located near Grand Central Station in Manhattan. The masses are held in English and Latin. Check here.
